MT.FUJI WORLD HERITAGE CENTRE, SHIZUOKA

Exhibition Hall

Feelings about Mt. Fuji have continued to exist without change from ancient times right up to the present day.
Here there is an exploration of the feelings Japanese people have for Mt Fuji in the two areas "Mt. Fuji Seen from Afar" and "Hometown Fujis."
Also, stones from Mt. Fuji that were gathered from an alluvial fan from the Ōsawa land slide are used for the stones that cover the terrace.

Mt. Fuji in the four seasons as seen from the roof of the Centre

The four seasons of Mt. Fuji can be detected from the snow covering its summit, flora spreading along its base, and their contrast. The appearance of Mt. Fuji will transform in the course of a day as well.
Time lapse video shot from the rooftop by a Centre employee shows Mt. Fuji through the four seasons.
