Feelings about Mt. Fuji have continued to exist without change from ancient times right up to the present day.
Here there is an exploration of the feelings Japanese people have for Mt Fuji in the two areas "Mt. Fuji Seen from Afar" and "Hometown Fujis."
Also, stones from Mt. Fuji that were gathered from an alluvial fan from the Ōsawa land slide are used for the stones that cover the terrace.

If you climb up the spiral ramp and the weather is clear, the real Mt. Fuji will emerge in front of your eyes. Please feel free to go out to the terrace and indulge in the view of Mt. Fuji as it transforms in expression moment to moment.
From the Observation Hall of the Centre, there is a view of Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha, which is the closest cultural asset of the Heritage site. Sengen Taisha is the head shrine of all Sengen shrines in Japan and the main deity worshipped is Konohana-no-sakuyahime-no-mikoto, also known as Asama-no-Ohkami. This is about a five-minute walk from the Centre. On the grounds is Wakutamaike Pond, which springs from the end of the Fujinomiya lava flow. We recommend visiting other nearby assets also, such as the Shiraito-no-Taki waterfalls, which is about a 20-minute drive away, and Hitoana Fuji-ko Iseki, which is about 25 minutes away.
Incidentally, how many days out of the year is Mt. Fuji visible? The city office of Fuji City in Shizuoka Prefecture has a fixed-point camera on its 8th floor, and Mt. Fuji could be seen in its entirety for 126 days in 2020, but not at all for 143 days.

The four seasons of Mt. Fuji can be detected from the snow covering its summit, flora spreading along its base, and their contrast. The appearance of Mt. Fuji will transform in the course of a day as well.
