Shizuoka Prefecture Registered Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site Guide
Between fiscal year 2012 and 2015, Shizuoka Prefecture held seven training courses aimed at training Shizuoka Prefecture Registered Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site Guides who have a deep appreciation and understanding of Mt. Fuji’s tremendous universal value as a World Heritage Site, as well as an understanding of how to properly conserve and maintain it, and who would be able to take visitors on guided tours of the area. To date, there are 247 registered guides providing tours of all the component parts within the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site.
Guide Activities for Component Parts
Fujinomiya City-trained World Heritage Guides, local guide groups and other trained guides work together to communicate the history and significance of each component part within the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site.
